Microsoft Project is
very complicated, especially if you never used it before. It's not like any
other Office program. It's a project management software tool used mainly by
project managers. If you don't know anything about it or project management,
you will most likely be lost while in it. However, after playing around
with it you find that you can. This software is mostly used in in keeping a
list of all resources involved in a project. You can also Keep track of costs
involved, from simple keyed in costs to calculations based on the amount of
time people spend working on tasks or the amount of materials required. It also allows
you to assign resources to tasks and from there see how long people spend
working on different tasks, see To-Do lists for individual people in a project,
see where people are being over allocated to certain tasks and also see where
certain people are being under-utilized. Microsoft Project in essence
helps organize projects that you may be working. Knowing this program can help
be that much valuable to a company if you know how to use it.

Visio was first released by the Shapeware Corporation in 1992. They later renamed themselves the Visio Corporation and were bought by microsoft in 2000. You can use it to make heaps of different types of diagrams and other graphical representations of data. You can do flow charts, data flow diagrams, calendars, building plans (though I'm not sure how useful it is in that area), network diagrams, charts and graphs and just basically heaps and heaps of diagrams. Its good because it has lots of templates and objects to help you stick to the official structure/syntax of pretty much any type of diagram you may be required to make. There is really no other program like it and it makes diagrams really simple to do. This program also makes drawing and diagramming software makes it easy for IT and business professionals to visualize, explore, and communicate complex information. Go from complicated text and tables that are hard to understand to Visio diagrams that communicate information at a glance. Just like swim charts. Instead of static pictures, create data-connected Visio diagrams that display data, are easy to refresh, and dramatically increase your productivity. Use the wide variety of diagrams in Office to understand, act on, and share information about organizational systems, resources, and processes throughout your enterprise After working with this great program you will find out that there are multiple uses for Visio. Say for example you are doing a power point presentation and you need to convey some type of diagram. You can create the diagram in Visio and copy it over to powerpoint. You can use it many times to describe a process flow or create professional diagrams at work or school. Its a great way for managers or teachers to use it to make a seating chart for a department or class of close to a hundred people. Microsoft Visio is the way to go for making diagrams and charts!

Google, the best
search engine that world has ever seen or built, has been famous for everything
that it provides and its free of course! One impact is that you can search for
anything you want at the click of a button. You may or may not like Google's
search results. You may disagree with its search methods. For an example, it
tries to sell you ads at the top of the search results, but with Google, the
search results you see are strictly those that its searched by the person
itself. You can't blame the, after all, they are just trying to make money.
Compared to Yahoo and Bing, it's a lot cleaner and has a better interface.
Google has a lot of other services as well, so it's more than just a search
engine. It's definitely "smart" if that makes sense to you. It knows
what you're searching for; like search Harry Potter and it has that nice side
bar with basic info and what year the film was made. And you can enter
equations/conversions and it'll solve them for you. It's absolutely
unbelievable. You can find definitions or other things, like height of
celebrities (type Robert Downey Jr. height). You can control it and find what
you need quickly. You can translate from different languages, which is pretty
cool. And Google's constantly improving. So it's clean, easy to use, fast and a
great tool. You also find that Google maps has made life more easy when driving
and finding more direction. Google maps is very innovative, none of the other
search engines were providing good map data on the internet, and the few who
were, had very clunky interfaces. Google invented the whole "draggable map
in a webpage" that now all apps have been using for years. People are
always constantly checking traffic on their smart phone to how long it will
take them to school or work and to get alternate routes to there destination.
So what do they use? Google maps. Google email is good too, but you won't
realize it at first. You will not be very impressed by it either because of its
dull design that doesn't sell to people, but after awhile, it's automatic
spam system blocking is great and the fact it organizes replies into
conversations makes it easy to keep your mail organized. Google has truly made
life much easier and much efficient.

Google Drive
Google drive in the most simplest terms is just storage on the internet. It's practically a disk located in Google servers. The great thing about it is that you can access it from any computer or device (PC, laptop, tablet, phone, etc) in the world at any given time. As an alternative to Microsoft office, people tend to choose Google Drive because it is free and it comes with 5gb of free limit. After experimenting and playing around you find that one can store documents, photos, music, videos, etc all in one place. It syncs with your mobile devices and your computer, so if you make a change from one device, it will automatically show up if you were to access it elsewhere. So if you make and edit a document and hit save, you can still look back at all your revisions from the past 30 days. And that is an advantage to using their word processor, so that you don't have to worry about your computer crashing and losing everything. Schools and businesses benefit from this, as you find that students and employees can interact with each other through Google Drive. Classmates can be working on a project and can be working on it together at the comfort of there homes. A president of a company may want to use Google Drive as a cheaper alternative to Microsoft Office, and most do. A question also arises, that is Google Drive safe and reliable? Will your documents be safe from intruders and hackers? The answer is yes. There should be no worries about your file getting infected by a virus. You also have control over making anything in you Google Drive public. In other words, things in your Google Drive are private unless you make them public. Google Drive is an excellent online storage that takes technology to a whole new level.
